United States Visitor Visa (B1/B2)
B1 and B2 are visitor visa programs for business travelers (Visit for Business Visa) and tourists (Visitor for Pleasure Visa). However, an applicant having a prior tourist visa can also travel the country to attend a planned business trip or event. The term business event refers to engagements such as conducting negotiations, soliciting sales or investments, discussing planned investments or purchases, making investments or purchases, attending meetings, interviewing and hiring staff, and conducting research. Engaging in running a business, working or participating as a professional in entertainment or sporting events is not permitted under the B1 Visitor Visa program.
